Address: 636 S. Cole Court
Relavent Experience: As the head architect for the Bureau of Reclamation I was involved in a great many projects which included water development and distribution. Two of the latter included The Southern Nevada Water Project and The Central Arizona Water Project, each of which included many pumping plants and miles of canal/pipelines.
As president of Tiberon Corporation which developed and constructed the Mountainside Town Homes in the area of 2nd and Zang in Lakewood I was directly involved in water supply. This involvement included water pressures and reduction, home clustering under individual meters, valves and taps, etc. In addition, I was involved in sewer locations and depths and the capturing and disposal of ground water. At that time I was a licensed Lakewood general contractor.
I was the head of the committees that selected the architectural design teams for the Grand Coulee Dam Third Power Plant and Visitor Center, and the Hoover Dam Visitor Center and Parking Structure. I was subsequently the Principal Designer for the latter. In addition, I served on numerous committees, including head of some, during my 33 year career with the Bureau of Reclamation.
Profession: I am a currently active Licensed Architect in the State of Colorado. I have performed a great many FHA residential inspections.
Education: I hold a five year Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Colorado. I graduated as an electrician's apprentice from the Manitoba Technical Institute.
Why I Am Running?: I have been a resident of the District for about 34 years and am running for the Board of Directors for several reasons:
Interest in the great variation of water pressures in the district and possible ways of leveling them out somewhat in spite of our hillside location.
Investigation of possible ways of balancing water use, water rates, and district expenses. The reduction in water use as a financial necessity is offset by the accompanying increase of rates.
Better, or any, explanation of water rate increases than the excuse that punitive rates for high end users have been eliminated.
Continued, and possibly improved, security of water storage tanks and other exposed district facilities.
