Each year the District uses the sewer cleaning truck in the
above picture to help maintain over 110 miles of sewer pipelines in our
district.The district maintains an
annual cleaning schedule to clean all of the lines in our District. This truck uses a high-pressure hose to clean
and cut roots out of the sewer main lines. Any debris brought back to the
manhole during the cleaning process can then be vacuumed with the overhead hose
attachment. This vehicle is also used to
help excavate dirt around buried utilities during repairs and maintenance of
the District’s water and sewer mainlines.

The District also uses the Video
Inspection van pictured above.This van
has equipment this is used to place a tractor powered video inspection camera
into the sewer mains. As this camera,
proceeds through the sewer mains information regarding tap locations and
conditions of the pipe are digitally recorded onto a computer. This information is then analyzed for
scheduling future maintenance and repairs of the District’s sewer mains.
