Water Rates

For 2008, the first tier (0-22,000 gallons) is still the same as from 2007 ($2.96 per 1,000 gallons). For all water used (23,000 gallons and up) the rate has been set at ($3.50 per 1,000 gallons). The third tier used in the 2007 water rates has been eliminated on a trial basis. Please see the District's Winter 2008 newsletter for further information.

Sewer Rates

For 2008, the District’s sewer rates will remain the same. The charge is $2.00 per 1,000 gallon rate as determined by water purchased during the non-irrigation months of the previous year.

Operations Fee

The Operations Fee (formerly service charge) of $17.00 per billing cycle ($8.50 per month) for residential customers, is assessed to cover overhead expenses such as insurance, power for pump stations, telephone, water main breaks, hydrant maintenance, sewer line repair, miscellaneous tools, equipment for the field maintenance personnel, office supplies, and postage. This rate was increased in 2007 to offset the rising energy costs that have been experienced over the last few years. That was the first service fee increase since 2001. The rate will remain the same for 2008.

Bill Payment Alternatives

In addition to mail-in payments and paying at the office, there is a drive-up payment box in the parking lot. Also available is electronic funds transfer, payment by phone, check, Visa and MasterCard. There are no charges for these options. The district also offers budget billing. Also see the link on the top navigation bar for online bill payment.
