Water Rates For 2012, the first tier (0-22,000 gallons) will be increasing from ($3.86 per 1,000 gallons) to $4.10 per 1,000 gallons. For Tier 2 (23,000-60,000 gallons) the rate has been set at ($4.65 per 1,000 gallons). The third tier (61,000+) is ($5.25 per 1,000 gallons). Sewer Rates The 2010 charge of $2.75 per 1,000 gallons rate as determined by water purchased during the non-irrigation months of the previous year will remain the same for 2012.
Operations Fee The 2010 Operations Fee (formerly service charge) of $20.00 per billing cycle ($10.00 per month) for residential customers will remain at the same rate for 2012. This fee is assessed to cover overhead expenses such as insurance, power for pump stations, telephone, water main breaks, hydrant maintenance, sewer line repair, miscellaneous tools, and equipment for the field maintenance personnel, office supplies, and postage. This rate was increased in 2009 to offset the rising energy costs that have been experienced over the last few years. That was the first service fee increase since 2007.
Bill Payment AlternativesIn addition to mail-in payments and paying at the office, there is a drive-up payment box in the parking lot. We are also able to accept electronic funds transfer, payment by phone, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. There are no charges for these options.
